Recently, WWE inadvertently spilled the beans that Tommaso Ciampa would go one-on-one with former DIY tag-team partner Johnny Gargano at NXT Takover: New Orleans, and it looks like tonight's episode of NXT will set up that highly-anticipated confrontation.

Per PWmania's report on tonight's show, Ciampa will once again make his way out to the ring to a chorus of boos - but this time when he begins to tear up fans' signs, Johnny Wrestling himself his waiting in the crowd and proceeds to attack his former friend. Though Johnny gets a few shots in, security soon breaks it up, leaving The "Blackheart" sitting alone in the ring.

One of the unexpectedly positive things to come from Ciampa being sidelined with an injury for the past few months is how much time this feud has now been given to breath, which makes this match at Takeover  even more of a must-see.
