Because weekly NXT episodes are pre-taped we already knew this match was likely for NXT TakeOver: New York, but GM William Regal has now made it official: the undefeated Matt Riddle will challenge The Velveteen Dream for his North American Championship at the PPV event in 2 weeks.

We got a little teaser of these guys coming to blows last night during the Fatal 5-Way bout to determine who'd be facing Johnny Gargano for the now vacant NXT Title at TakeOver, and it looked like The King of Bros was more than up to the task as he was very close to making Dream tap-out to his Bro-Mission hold.

Whoever comes out on top, we should be in for a terrific match. You can find out how the final card for TakeOver: New York is shaping up HERE.
