Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore Airs A Vignette During TNA IMPACT!

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion appears to be making his way over to TNA Wrestling very soon as the promotion aired a vignette of the man formerly known as Enzo Amore.

Enzo is in the Impact Zone!

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion is officially making his way over to TNA Wrestling as Real1 (Enzo’s post WWE name) had a vignette during the latest episode of TNA Impact!

The 38-year-old referenced his time in WWE and even the infamous “invasion” of the ROH/New Japan Pro-Wrestling supershow in Madison Square Garden. The vignette started off claiming the announcement was paid for by Fourth Rope Wrestling, which is an independent promotion where the former WWE star is a Flyweight Champion.

There’s no confirmation on when Real1 will make his TNA Wrestling debut, though Slammiversary is around the corner, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s at the big show in New York.

Amore was with WWE from 2012 - 2018. The former WWE star was one of the most popular acts during his time with Big Cass on the main roster because Enzo was a strong talker. However, sexual assault allegations popped up in January 2018 and WWE immediately fired Amore. Those charges were eventually dropped, but WWE simply had no interest in bringing back the two-time Cruiserweight Champion.

Since then, Amore, who has gone by Real1 and nZo, has been mostly on the independent scene. As previously mentioned, he and Big Cass (who goes by Big Bill in AEW) popped up at the 2019 G1 Supercard show and assaulted several wrestlers. This was an angle as the duo was supposed to be a new tag team on the ROH roster, but the former WWE star himself stated that ROH ghosted them and the angle was never talked about again.

Other than some controversy in beefing with Joey Janela, Real1 has been relatively quiet ever since. There was an incident with him trying to hijack a WWE show in 2018, but he was quickly ejected before anything could happen. He’s been quite active on the independent scene, but has mostly fought in lesser known promotions. He has competed in Major League Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, though those stints weren't long.

As of this writing, there’s no telling what plans TNA has for the former WWE star. It should be interesting to see how he does in TNA. Big Bill’s brief run in the company helped revitalize his career. Perhaps the same thing will happen with Real1.
