Mercedes Martinez teamed with Jake Atlas to face Tian Sha's Xia Li and Boa in a tag-match this past Tuesday on NXT, but the bout was cut short after Li caught her opponent with a stiff roundhouse kick.

Martinez went down hard, and seemingly lost consciousness for a few seconds before the ref threw up the "X" sign and the camera cut away. Mercedes was said to be bleeding from the mouth, and was quickly taken to the back for evaluation.

Now, Fightful has shared an update, and the site claims that Martinez was rushed to hospital for further tests. That doesn't sound good, but chances are WWE doctors simply didn't want to take any chances. We hope she'll be okay, though even a mild concussion would most likely keep her out of action for a while.

Martinez has not commented on her status, but Atlas did share the following Tweet. Check it out below along with a clip of the incident in question.
