Usually when an NXT Superstar makes the jump to the main roster, they're debuted when they can make the biggest impact and get some attention (Raw after WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble etc) but this latest group were all announced at once and have been showing up in brief - and in some cases seriously odd - backstage segments on both Raw and SmackDown LIVE.

So, why is WWE choosing to introduced Nikki Cross, EC3, Heavy Machinery and Lacey Evans (still no sign of Lars Sullivan) in this unusual manner? If you guessed, "because Vince doesn't think anyone has a clue who they are," you'd be absolutely right!

According to Dave Meltzer, McMahon wants to incorporate them into the background so that fans will be more familiar with them when they eventually see action. Cross seems to be the exception, but then she is by far best-known of the bunch.
