Forbidden Door is finally here.
Hangman Page finally caved in and gave MJF what he wanted - an AEW World title shot. But that doesn’t guarantee that he’ll win it. MJF is a slimy and tough son of a gun, but The Hangman had to go through hell and back just to win the AEW World title. He’s already defended it successfully against Jon Moxley, but MJF isn’t afraid to pull out all of the stops to get what he wants. Will MJF win his second world title?
For the AEW Women’s World Championship, Athena will cash in her shot to become the first woman to hold both the ROH and AEW world titles. In the past several weeks, Athena has gotten under Toni’s skin and the “Fallen Goddess” owns two victories over Timeless Toni Storm.
But Mercedes Mone walked into All In undefeated in singles matches and Storm managed to overcome those odds. She also beat the beast known as Megan Payne, and won a bloody war against Mariah May. Toni Storm is up for the challenge, but the question is - can she beat Athena?
Speaking of a bloody war, it would be surprising if the Lights Out Steel Cage match didn’t turn into one. This is Hiroshi Tanahashi’s final Forbidden Door and the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is stepping into the lion’s den where two teams are looking to tear each other apart. But perhaps the biggest disadvantage here is that Will Ospreay is walking into the match injured.
The former International Champion hasn’t been quiet about his neck issues and you can be sure that The Young Bucks and The Death Riders will take advantage of that. Can Will Ospreay and his team put the Death Riders and Young Bucks down for good? Or will the Bucks and The Death Riders punish Will Ospreay and his team after months of humiliation?
