Following an exciting two-day tournament, Rhea Ripley has been crowned the first ever NXT UK Women’s Champion during the tapings at the Insomnia gaming festival at NEC Birmingham.

The event was taped as part of the upcoming NXT UK series, and also featured the likes of Toni Storm, Jinny, Isla Dawn, Millie McKenzie, Nina Samuels, Dakota Kai and Xia Brookside, who were all vying for the honor of becoming the inaugural UK Women's Champ.

Ripley, who defeated Storm in the final round, hails from Australia, and at 21 years old was the youngest woman to compete in last year's Mae Young Classic.
