The Ratings Gap Between NXT And AEW: THUNDER Has Closed To A Difference Of Just 9000 Viewers

All Elite Wrestling debuted to big numbers on TNT but ratings have steadily dropped since then whereas NXT viewership (which has also declined) has remained mostly the same. Now, the gap has closed and WWE's comments about it being a marathon and not a sprint could prove to be correct.

This week, All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite drew 822,000 viewers compared to NXT's 813,000 viewers. That's a difference of just 9000 viewers and a surprise considering the fact this week's AEW was the go home show for this week's Full Gear PPV. Needless to say, the PPV buy rate numbers for that will make for very interesting reading indeed compared to previous shows.

AEW is still drawing a younger audience (which advertisers like) but it seems fans are tuning out. It could be because the product they're presenting a little too niche or something that doesn't appeal to a mainstream audience but WWE is having its own ratings issues so it could be lack of interest in wrestling in general.
