WWE wanted to make sure everything felt special during WrestleMania Week, and didn't want NXT UK to be left out. As such, they decided to dub this episode NXT UK: Prelude and treat it as a somewhat miniature version of TakeOver. The NXT UK Championship was on the line, but it was still basically the same as a normal episode.

Nevertheless, three matches were on the show and if you missed out on what transpired, we've got you covered.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this show, as well as the full breakdown of match results for those who might have missed it:

— In a contest that followed Heritage Cup rules, Tyler Bate (accompanied by Trent Seven) defeated Noam Dar (accompanied by Sha Samuels) and has become the No. 1 contender to A-Kid for a future shot at the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship at some point down the line.

— In a tag team match, Emilia McKenzie (formerly Millie McKenzie) and Meiko Satomura defeated NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn by pinfall when McKenzie pinned Dawn.

— WALTER successfully defended and retained the NXT UK Championship over Rampage Brown when he defeated him by pinfall.
