Despite rumors regarding Eli Drake’s future when it was revealed that his contract ended in late May, The former Impact World Heavyweight champion is remaining with the company as Impact issued a Tweet announcing that the've re-signed the former Champion.
Eli Drake signed with Impact Wrestling back in February of 2015, after making his debut in a Gut Check challenge.
With Drake re-signing with Impact, his role at Slammiversary should be announced in the coming weeks, as the company had yet to book him for the show until his contract status was figured out.
