Mara Sadè has arrived in TNA.
TNA Wrestling held their latest live show on Thursday and there was an intriguing six woman tag team match between The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance, Heather by Elegance & M by Elegance), The IInspiration (Jessica McKay & Cassie Lee) and a mystery partner. That mystery person turned out to be former NXT star Jakara Jackson, who’s going by Mara Sadè in TNA. Sadè, McKay, and Lee ended up winning the special tag team match.
Once it was revealed that Mara was a part of the TNA roster, the promotion released a special video confirming her signing to the TNA brand.
Last night was Sade’s first time in TNA as she competed in the promotion during the TNA/NXT crossover with Lash Legend. Mara’s last TNA match before her shocking WWE release was a four way bout at Rebellion for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles against Ash By Elegance & Heather By Elegance, Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat), and Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley. Ash and Heather successfully retain their belts.
It’s not shocking that Sadè signed to TNA as she strongly hinted in her interview with Wrestle Zone’s Ella Jay that she would be joining the promotion soon.
“Most certainly [I’m interested in going back to TNA]. I don’t want to put too much out there, but they’re most certainly a lot of things in the works,” she explained. “I don’t want to reveal until it’s time to, but I definitely have my eyes on TNA. I would love to go to Japan. Definitely wherever I can thrive, that’s where I want to be.”
Before her TNA return, Mara was wrestling here and there on the indies since her release in May. Sadè was a complete rookie when she first signed to WWE in 2021. Her and Lash Legend actually made a decent team and there seemed to be a point where they were going up to the main roster since they challenged the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on several occasions.
Instead, they remained in NXT and randomly broke up Meta-Four the week before Mara’s release. It’ll be interesting to see where she goes from here and how TNA handles their latest knockout signee. As of now, it seems that Mara is a singles competitor, but that can change soon.
