Not surprisingly, Madison Rayne's brief run in IMPACT Wrestling is indeed over. Earlier in the week, her profile on ImpactWrestling.com was finally removed from the Knockouts roster and placed among the Alumni.

Rayne made a brief comeback up until Slammiversary; She defeated the likes of Taya Valkyrie and Tessa Blanchard, in order to get a shot at the Knockouts title at Impact’s big summer pay-per-view against Su Yung. Rayne passed out after Yung locked in the mandible claw, thus giving Yung the victory. Immediately following the match, Yung placed an unconscious Rayne inside the coffin and stood on top of it with the Knockouts Championship held high.

Yung's actions seemingly wrote off Rayne's character from IMPACT Wrestling and the promotion alluded to that on Twitter.

A week later, WWE announced that she would compete as Ashley Rayne in Mae Young Classic 2018.
