Masha Slamovich has an opportunity to regain the Knockouts Championship.
For 267 days, Masha Slamovich proudly held the Knockouts Championship. Slamovich had hard battles against the likes of Tessa Blanchard, Jordynne Grace, Rosemary, and she was on track to become one of the greatest knockouts champions in the company’s history. But Jacy Jayne destroyed that at Slammiversary.
The arrogant Fatal Influence leader came in the underdog despite holding the NXT Women;s Championship. Many coined Jacy Jayne as the most beatable champion in NXT history, but Jayne shut down those rumors and made history by being the only woman to hold the NXT and Knockouts Championships. But will that change tonight?
Masha is on a quest to bring her prestigious title home, so she’s more focused and determined than ever. Will Jacy Jayne have a short run as the Knockouts Champion? Or will Masha fail to win back the prestigious belt?
The Knockouts title won’t be the only title on the line as Leon Slater will have his first title defense in a Triple Threat match. The new X-Division Champion became the youngest TNA star to win the belt at Slammiversary, but winning was the easy part. Slater has to defend his title against a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion (Cedric Alexander) and one of Ali’s right hand men. Can Slater go against the odds and retain the X-Division title?
Mike Santana returns tonight and he plans on addressing the controversy at Slammiversary. Many feel that the New York native was screwed out of the TNA World Championship and it should be a notable segment since Santana will also talk about his future.
