Killer Kelly made her shocking TNA Wrestling return at Against All Odds.
After being away from the company for over a year, the 33-year-old came back with a vengeance as she targeted the then TNA Knockouts World Champion, Masha Slamovich. The two knockouts officially had their match on an episode of TNA Impact! And it is a brutal return to form for the former NXT star. Kelly ultimately lost that match and many fans wondered whether that would be the last time anyone would see the TNA star.
Killer Kelly isn’t going anywhere at the moment as Fightful Select reports that TNA has extended her contract. Originally, Killer Kelly’s current TNA deal was supposed to be up in Summer 2025. However, the TNA star took a long hiatus to focus on giving birth to her newborn baby.
Killer Kelly’s contract now goes through the remainder of the year. The exact date is unknown, though it’s expected for her to be done in December 2025. Kelly has been off of television since her brutal chain match against Masha Slamovich.
For those wondering where Kelly is, the TNA Knockouts explained that she just needs a little time to regroup.
“I’ve got a bunch of people asking ‘Kelly just came back why isn’t she on TV.’ Well, that chain match took a toll on me. Physically and emotionally. But I will be back very soon. Just need a little time to regroup”
When will we see Killer Kelly’s return?
Your guess is as good as mine’s as there’s been no timetable on her return. Kelly originally gained her wrestling fame and notoriety thanks to her brief time in WWE under the same name. Kelly mainly competed in the NXT UK brand and was one of the women in the 2018 United Kingdom Champion tournament. Kelly didn’t make much of a splash since she wasn’t mainly used as enhancement talent throughout the two years she was in the promotion.
Kelly recently described her WWE experience and details the exhausting experience with Steve Fall for SEScoops.
“The whole experience being like that, and now knowing of my mental issues that I have. Anxiety, depression, ADHD, all of that exhausted me mentally, to the point that I wasn’t enjoying my time in WWE. I didn’t enjoy it at all. Because I was so stressed. I was so anxious all the time. I had everything. I could have had a blast there. But I didn’t because of my brain.
So that kind of sucks. It sucks that I wasn’t on medication early. It sucks that I didn’t know about that. So that whole experience was very exhausting for me. But other than that, I have nothing bad to say about WWE. It was just my brain. It was my brain. I didn’t have the spotlight on me but I enjoyed my position. They basically gave me matches to make the other people shine. So that means that they have the stress on me that I can help them shine, help them achieve whatever they need to. That was kind of an honor.”
Here’s hoping that we see Killer Kelly back in the TNA ring soon
