Francis Ngannou is taking his talent to Hollywood. The UFC heavyweight knockout artist has reportedly joined the cast of Universal's Fast & Furious 9

The Fast & Furious franchise is no stranger to MMA fighters. Former fighter Gina Carano co-starred in 2013's Fast & Furious 6 as a member of the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent Luke Hobbs' (Dwayne Johnson) team. Ronda Rousey, the former UFC champion-turned-professional wrestler, then appeared in 2015's Furious 7 as the supporting character Kara.

It's unknown what role the 6-foot-4, 256-pound Francis Ngannou will have in the ninth installment of the action blockbuster franchise, but you can bet he's bringing the muscles regardless. Universal has yet to provide plot details for Fast & Furious 9, which speeds into theaters on May 22, 2020.

Ngannou most recently fought Junior dos Santos back in June. He scored a TKO victory in the first round, setting himself up as the potential next challenger for the heavyweight belt. But he's probably got some time to kill as current heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will look to defend his title in a rematch against Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 this weekend.
