Tony Khan is at it again.
Last year saw the AEW President have his fair share of social media meltdowns as part of his seemingly one-sided beef with WWE. While he refrained from calling anyone a "bald a**hole" this time, Khan has taken aim at the USA Network...and Jinder Mahal.
It started when pro wrestling pundit Raj Giri shared his take on Mahal getting a World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins on RAW next week. He pointed out that the two have history seeing as Rollins beat Mahal to become the inaugural NXT Champion, prompting the USA Network account to ask, "What was the cagematch rating?"
This was a blatant shot at Khan as he's been known, on countless occasions, to cite ratings on that site while discussing the popularity of AEW matches.
Needless to say, Tony wasn't happy and responded with, "A moral victory for USA is one win more than their World Title challenger Jinder Mahal has in the past 364 days...because it's been literally a full year since he won a match. You really put AEW in our place getting Jinder Mahal in a big match on your TV show. Do it more often."
He later followed up with, "A double standard: [Hook] 28-1 career record, on winning streak calls out the Champ, a logical challenge sparks online outrage. Jinder has literally lost every single match he's in for the past year, immediately gets title shot, where is the rage[?]"
Once again, this isn't a good look for Khan as he's feuding with a social media manager over a tongue-in-cheek remark while sharing his paranoid belief that the internet wrestling community has it out for him and his booking decisions. Clearly, the pressure of competing with a WWE run by Triple H is getting to him.
It's also led to him being made fun of by even the biggest AEW fans as they've pointed out that he should be focusing on AEW, not Jinder Mahal!
