Austin Aries May Have A Huge Championship Match Lined Up At WRESTLEMANIA

WWE NXT Superstar Austin Aries has been on the shelf since last October after suffering an orbital fracture, but the WWE 205 Live commentator may be about to make the leap to the main roster!

Ever since he joined the 205 Live announce team, Austin Aries has been teasing the prospect of him making his presence felt in the Cruiserweight division. Over the past couple of weeks, he's actually been antagonising the roster as an interviewer, but The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that he could be about to return to action in a big way.

Out of action since suffering an orbital fracture during at match with Shinsuke Nakamura at an NXT Live event last October, it's said that the plan may now be to have Aries take on Neville at this year's WrestleMania in Orlando for the Cruiserweight Championship. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, but this would make sense, and while he's been portrayed as a heel since debuting in NXT, fans love him so he could easily take on the face role in this rivalry.

We're just going to have to wait and see, but this would make for a fun match and could be exactly what the struggling Cruiserweight division needs at this point. The only downside to this is the fact that we're now unlikely to ever get a payoff to the rivalry between Aries and Hideo Itami which was building some momentum in NXT before both men were injured last Fall.
