Two weeks ago on Raw, Brock Lesnar mercilessly attacked Cody Rhodes right before they were supposed to team-up to take on Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The American Nightmare called him out the Monday after, and last night, their match was finally make official for the upcoming Backlash PLE.
Rhodes made his way out to the ring, but before he could really let loose with a promo, Adam Peace told him that he wasn't medically cleared after the beating Brock gave him, and he needed to leave the ring. When Rhodes refused, security got involved, and all got walloped with chair-shots for their efforts.
At this point, The Beast's music hit, but Brock wouldn't venture past the wall of security, instead choosing to taunt his opponent from the ramp.
This should be a great match, and the feud is turning out to be compelling, but some fans are still reeling from Rhodes failing to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania and win the titles.
We assume he will get another shot down the line... if he can get past Brock, that is!
