Even if you don't follow independent wrestling, there's a very good chance that you've heard of The Young Bucks. They're arguably the most popular wrestlers not in WWE and with no sign of the duo working for Vince McMahon any time soon (they recently received a cease and desist for "invading" RAW), it appears as if they'll continue making a killing as part of The Bullet Club.
Matt and Nick Jackson have already made it clear they'd like to bring Hulk Hogan into the fold and after both Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes made it clear that CM Punk is more than welcome to join The Bullet Club, Matt has revealed that he actually talks to The Best In The World all the time and is actively trying to convince him to make his return to pro wrestling in the near future.
"I talk to [Punk] a lot. I bugged him for like, I don’t know, a year or two? I was really aggressive and at one point I realized that I should probably let him make his own decisions. He knows that there’s an offer there and he knows that I’m the first phone call that he should make if he decides to get back into the business.
"He’s told me that, he says when or if or ever he does decide to possibly get back into it, I’ll be the first guy he calls. It’ll be interesting. Whether or not he plays on our team or an opposing team, it’d be fun. When we’re talking about guys, another guy would be Bryan Danielson [WWE’s Daniel Bryan]. I don’t see him necessarily joining Bullet Club, but he’d be a fun guy to wrestle or to work with or whatever. Just to have him in the ring with us would be incredible."
Punk is reportedly training for another UFC fight but after the first one proved to be such a disaster, you'd think that he'd prefer a return to wrestling, especially as he'd make a small fortune doing so. I guess we'll just have to wait and see but with Daniel Bryan also rumoured to be hitting the indie scene once his WWE contract is up, we may be getting a lot of dream matches very soon.
