Controversial Topless Segment With Alexa Bliss On RAW May Have Actually Been Her Tribute To Trish Stratus

WWE doesn't shy away from pointing out that it delivers a PG product with RAW and SmackDown Live each week but what's PG about Alexa Bliss appearing topless backstage? That's what happened last Monday and fans weren't happy that WWE was seemingly heading back down the Attitude Era route rather than the way women in the company have started being portrayed over the past few years.

However, it may not have been anywhere near as controversial or demeaning as first though!

"From what I’ve been told the segment was Alexa’s idea," Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin explains. "It was an Alexa thing, she was trying to do a little bit of a tribute to Trish Stratus because it was something Trish Stratus did back in the day. She’s a big Trish Stratus fan. So from what I heard it was something she wanted to do. It was not a thing that was pushed on her."

The segment has certainly drawn attention regardless as it's been viewed over six million times on YouTube over the past week. What did you guys think of it? Share your thoughts in the usual place.
