Daniel Bryan Kicked Off SMACKDOWN LIVE By Mocking The WWE Universe's Consumerism

Last night's episode of SmackDown Live featured a very unexpected opening as Daniel Bryan chose some pretty unusual surroundings to address the WWE Universe and what he described as their "consumerism."

Daniel Bryan's new heel persona is excellent and he continues to rile up wrestling fans by taking aim at the things they love. Last night, it was hot dogs, plastic straws, and WWE merchandise and the promo below is a must-see, especially as he winds up not only throwing a hot dog in someone's face (likely a local wrestler) but also a drink! Clearly, the "Yes! Movement" really is dead and buried.

That's a shame but changes are made to characters in wrestling all the time and the WWE Champion had to do something to freshen up his persona and thereby become a truly successful heel.

When Bryan made his way back to the ring, he was attacked by R-Truth and the two then had a match which saw the champion emerge victorious after hitting his patented running knee. Are you a fan of the "new" Daniel Bryan? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
