If you were around for the Ruthless Aggression era in WWE, then we're sure you'll remember Dawn Marie. She was embroiled in a controversial storyline that saw her romance Torrie Wilson's father, while wanting to embark on a lesbian relationship with the former WCW star (it involved blackmail, strawberries, and even a heart attack at one point).
It was trashy, but entertaining at the time, and Marie ended up parting ways with the company in 2005 when she revealed that she was pregnant, something that led to her filing a lawsuit against her former employers.
Now, the former WWE Superstar has opened up on her in-ring career and revealed just how different things were when she was working for the sports entertainment giant.
"I almost got into a lot of trouble because Randy [Orton] didn’t have a room or something and he probably lied, just trying to get in my room, who knows? So I felt bad for him, you know, because he was broke," Marie explains in the video below. "Not that he’s broke now, he made up for it."
"So I was like, ‘Randy, okay, fine. You can sleep on the chair in my room!’ And I was like, ‘If you come anywhere near my bed, I swear to God I’m gonna kill you.’ So I let him do it like a couple different nights, I let him like sleep on the chair," she concluded, noting that relationships between talent was frowned up during this era but is now completely acceptable in WWE.
Marie also pointed out how a female Superstar getting pregnant is now glorified by the company, but back in 2005, it resulted in her being fired.
