While Vince McMahon is no longer facing criminal charges for allegedly sexually abusing and trafficking former WWE employee Janel Grant, the civil case rolls on, and she now appears to be on the cusp of having her day in court.

The billionaire appears unwilling to settle and maintains his innocence, so if this lawsuit does reach the courtroom, McMahon is going to come under a level of scrutiny he's not used to. However, the former WWE Chairman has never been one to back down, even after a seemingly forced retirement and his eventual departure from WWE when the company was sold to Endeavor.

While we wait to see what happens with the civil case, McMahon is now dealing with another legal issue. According to TMZ, he was involved in a three-car accident in Westport, Connecticut, last Thursday.

While no injuries were sustained, it's said that the incident occurred at 9 am on Route 15. McMahon's 2024 Bentley was travelling northbound when it hit the rear of a 2023 BMW and collided with a median guardrail. A third vehicle, a Ford Fusion, which was travelling southbound, then hit debris caused by the initial impact.

Airbags were deployed in both the Bentley and the BMW, and all three vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The median guardrail sustained approximately 30 feet of damage, though all three drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts (no doubt helping to ensure there were no injuries).

As a result of the accident, McMahon was issued a misdemeanour summons for reckless driving and following too closely. He's now scheduled to appear in court late next month, something we're sure will generate a lot of media attention.

"Today’s dismissal of John Laurinaitis as a defendant doesn’t alter the facts of this case in any way," McMahon's lawyer, Jessica Rosenberg, said in May when we got our last Janel Grant lawsuit update. "Vince McMahon never mistreated Janel Grant. No matter how many press releases her team issues, the truth remains unchanged."

"As Mr. Laurinaitis’s lawyer previously said: 'Mr. Laurinaitis corroborates Mr. McMahon in publicly declaring that Ms. Grant’s allegations of sexual abuse and coercion in her Complaint are completely unfounded.'"
