Asuka is taking the time to be sentimental after her shocking betrayal.
The “Empress of Tomorrow” showed her true colors on Monday as Asuka and Kairi Sane beat down Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley in a heart breaking segment. But this week marks another memorable point in the former WWE Women’s Champion’s career.
Asuka made her WWE debut on September 23, 2015. Tuesday was the 10-year Anniversary for the RAW star. Asuka took a moment to reflect on her decorated WWE career.
“I believe that ideals and convictions, what one sets out to achieve, hold more value than what one has actually accomplished.
“I have obtained every record, everything there is to obtain, but these are all merely waypoints. What has universal value and beauty is pioneering a new era, possessing the power to change the times. That’s why I pursue how I can bring change and ideals to the ring, creating ‘before and after Kana’ and ‘before and after Asuka.’
“Creating a path is far more difficult than walking down a path that others have made. And therein lies the most beautiful aesthetic of all. For me, living as a pioneer and living with conviction, philosophy, and aesthetics is a very important way of life”
Asuka is a three time WWE Women’s Champion. One time NXT Women's Champion. And a four time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. The “Empress of Tomorrow” has accomplished so much within her WWE career and Asuka doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
As previously mentioned, The Kabuki Warriors brutally assaulted Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky on Monday. This seems to be setting up a tag team match between The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions against Ripley and Sky at the upcoming Crown Jewel show in Perth.
Also, with Asuka now being a heel, she could be a front runner as one of Stephanie Vaquer’s challengers for the WWE Women’s World Championship. Though that last part is just pure speculation as there isn’t any news about who will challenge Stephanie for the WWE Women’s World title next. Either way, it’s been a remarkable run for Asuka and thankfully it’s still continuing.
