When the news broke that a leaked sex tape featured Hulk Hogan making racist comments, WWE wasted no time in severing ties with him and he was promptly removed from the Hall of Fame. Since then, we've heard a lot of conflicting reports about his possible future with the company but it's always been clear that WWE was waiting for the dust to settle before even considering bringing him back.
Well, Hogan has now officially been reinstated to the WWE Hall of Fame. As noted in a WWE.com news story, "This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame."
It's also being reported that Hogan was indeed backstage at Extreme Rules and that he addressed the locker room and made a public apology. After that, he returned home to Florida and is not expected to appear on RAW or SmackDown Live this week. However, WWE filmed this for an upcoming Network special, so it's pretty clear that we are going to see him back on television down the line.
