Hulk Hogan Reflects On WWE Firing Him For Racist Remarks Back In 2015; Is Still Surprised They Did

It's been a couple of years since WWE parted ways with Hulk Hogan over racist remarks made during his sex tape (you can't make this stuff up), and the legendary wrestler has now addressed what went down...

Hulk Hogan is not sure if he'll ever work with WWE again - for obvious reasons. Back in 2015 the company fired him over racist remarks he made on some newly-unearthed audio, and he's had nothing to do with them since.

Though Hogan did address and apologise for the controversy at the time, during a new interview with the FOX News show OBJECTified, the fallen icon reflects on finding out he was to be let go, and still seems surprised that it happened.

"When I heard this was going to happen, I called them on a Thursday or a Friday. As I hung up the phone that night, they fired me in the morning. It really caught me off guard, I didn't expect it because the WWE knows who I am. I'm not that person, that's not who I am and that's not what I do. I think they did what was best for business. They were worried about losing sponsors and network support."

Hulkster, you said the N-word multiple times while filming a damn sex tape - do you really think they overacted?

At any rate, it remains to be seen if WWE decides to try to sweep this under the rug and once again do business with Hogan. If that does happen, though, they should prepare for some serious backlash.
