Though they do still have a ways to go in certain areas, nobody can deny that WWE has moved the business forward leaps and bounds when it comes to promoting its female talent. We recently had the first ever women's Money in The Bank ladder match, a 30-minute women’s Gauntlet Match, and the Mae Young Classic women's tournament is also on the way.

Now, we're hearing there might also be plans for a women's Royal Rumble match.

Though this has been rumored before, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that there's been “at least talk” about WWE presenting the match at the 2018 Royal Rumble PPV.  

This definitely seems like the next logical step for the increasingly popular women's division, but until we hear something official we'll have to treat it as a rumor for the time being.
