Jacob Fatu retained the WWE United States Championship at WWE Backlash over LA Knight, Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre in a Fatal 4-Way match, but not without some help from some outside interference.

Though The Samoan Werewolf was truly "all gas and no brakes" as per usual, putting on an amazing performance and barreling through the opposition, it was any man's game as there were plenty moments throughout the match where all three Superstars had opportunities to walk out with the title.

Priest in particular stepped in at one point to break up a count that very nearly saw The Scottish Warrior getting a pin, which prompted the two to start brawling among the audience and going through a table with a South of Heaven chokeslam.

By that point in the match, it was mostly LA Knight focusing on Fatu. Knight placed Fatu on the commentary table and planned to crash through him with an elbow drop, but Solo Sikoa interfered and pulled Fatu off the desk.

Knight was quick to go after Sikoa and get some revenge for spoiling his plans, only to be attacked out of nowhere by the shocking debut of Jeff Cobb, who obviously is now aligned with Fatu and Sikoa.

Cobb was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and is not even Samoan, let alone part of the Anoa'i family dynasty or part of the Tongan side of that affiliation, but with The Bloodline effectively being dissolved since January, it seems WWE is moving further and further away from that familial connection being the source of this stable (and of course, it's important to keep in mind that Paul Heyman and Sami Zayn obviously were always outsiders with that perspective, too)

Cobb has made a name for himself in various other promotions, wrestling as Matanza Cueto for Lucha Underground, taking part in Rign of Honor, having a few matches for All Elite Wrestling and Major League Wrestling, two bouts for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, but has mostly competed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling over the years as part of the United Empire faction.

HIs last match was a loss to Hiroshi Tanahashi on the April 19th Road to Wrestling Dontaku event for NJPW, before claiming that he was actually retired, which was clearly a ruse.

What do you think about Jacob Fatu retaining the title and Jeff Cobb making his debut to align with Fatu and Sikoa? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
