Fans spent years wondering what it would be like to see The Usos go one-on-one and it finally happened at WrestleMania XL earlier this year.
Following The Bloodline's implosion, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso squared off in only the third brother versus brother match at the Showcase of the Immortals. Unfortunately, the bout was deemed a disappointment and has been singled out by many as perhaps the worst match on the entire two-day card.
Appearing on the Cheap Heat podcast, Jey once again reflected on their clash and admitted he'd like a do-over. "To be honest, I would like to run it back with my brother one more time," the former Intercontinental Champion admitted. "Like, I would like to because [it] left a little bad taste in my mouth with that one."
"I just know what we can do. The fans have no damn clue. I know, me and my brother know, man," he continued. "And hell yeah, we would have stole the show. It was just things happen. We’re all a team."
This echoes comments from earlier this year when Jey acknowledged that they might have let the fans down and confirmed their time was cut.
"I just said this to someone. I kinda felt like we did let the people down. I wanted to go out there and have a straight up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part but let alone make sure the emotion part is there," he explains in the video below. "It was just a time issue. You know what I’m saying?"
"You just gotta play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though, uce, I got a singles match at WrestleMania with my brother. That’s a big picture. So, I’mma always have me and him in a face-off at WrestleMania. I’mma frame a picture, that’s always, it’s marked off our box. I just wish we could have went the way I know we can, but…"
"'Yo, yo, man, they went over this many minutes. Sorry, sorry.' You know, it’s all good, you know. Just go out there and handle business."
It is a shame they didn't get the match they wanted, though it's hard to say how much of a difference adding a few extra minutes to this confrontation would have made (it ended with Jey picking up the win courtesy of a Superkick and Splash).
Regardless, Jey and Jimmy are now back on the same page as part of a reunited Bloodline alongside Roman Reigns and Sami Uso. They'll battle Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline at Survivor Series later this month in a WarGames match.
