We're saddened to report that King Kong Bundy has sadly passed away, aged 61. He got his start in the wrestling business in 1981 and trained at Larry Share's "Monster Factory" in New Jersey. He then competed in Texas' World Class Championship Wrestling and the American Wrestling Association before signing with WWE in 1985.
From there, he was portrayed as Hulk Hogan's first "monster" opponent and they headlined WrestleMania 2 in Los Angeles.
He later started falling down the card and left the company in 1988. While he would then retire, he made a number of appearances throughout the late 80s and then has a brief run as part of Ted DiBiase's "Million Dollar Corporation" in the 90s before squaring off with The Undertaker at WrestleMania XI.
Bundy also has some acting credits for his name and has spent recent years on the convention circuit. Details on his death haven't been shared as of yet but our thoughts obviously go out to his family at this time and we'll be sure to bring you more as we have it.
