Mickie James could do one more run.
The former TNA Knockouts Champion just got an official induction into the promotion’s Hall of Fame and it’s well deserved. The 46-year-old has been wrestling since 1999; however, her notoriety in the business didn’t start until 2005/2006 when she made her debut on WWE’s main roster.
James started her run in a feud that many consider a classic and she continued to set the standard for what women’s wrestling should be following her incredible rivalry against Trish.
Fast forward to 2025, where James went from WWE to TNA, back to WWE and back to TNA. James is rightfully being recognized for her work in TNA, but what about WWE? Though many fondly remember her feud against Trish Stratus, James had plenty of great matches and rivals against a variety of women during her two stints with the promotion.
Mickie spoke on Busted Open radio about a possible WWE Hall of Fame induction and she brought up the possibility of having one more run (Transcript courtesy of Fightful).
“Of course it’s nice, of course it’s nice,” James said when asked if she’d like to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. “I think we all like that appreciation back from the company to say, hey, what you did mattered and we value you, and it is that tip of the hat of like, we know that you put in your licks, we know that you took some sh*t and this, that and the third but, we actually appreciate you and respect you and so, I think that that’s always something where yeah, but, I was having a conversation with someone, they were like, ‘Oh, would you do one more run?’ I was like, ‘Hell yeah.
Mickie is surely down to do one more run, but it isn’t because she feels the need to prove something. The former WWE star is happy with what she’s accomplished and doesn’t need to to prove anything else.
"I could do one more run. I got it in me,’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, what do you have to prove?’ And I go, ‘You know what? I’ve been really blessed. I think I set out and achieved all my goals. I don’t really have anything else to prove.’ I don’t have anything else to prove. I think I’ve proved everything I could prove and if anything, it would be like, oh, I can still go with these girls but, you know I can. I can whoop ‘em — all — with a backhand.”
