NXT's Tino Sabbatelli recently had surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, but the up-and-coming Superstar still hasn't been medically cleared to return to action, and we may now know the reason why.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sabbatelli has been having issues similar to Jason Jordan that may prevent him from returning to the ring, and there is talk about having him transition to an announcer role on the black and gold brand.

Sabbatelli (real name Sabatino Piscitelli) always showed a lot of potential but NXT never really put that much into his character. It'll be a shame if he doesn't get to return as an active wrestler, but if he is destined to continue his career on commentary, we wish him all the best.
