Paul Heyman Is Anxious To See Brock Lesnar Battle Daniel Bryan In A WWE Ring
Daniel Bryan was recently cleared to return to in-ring action and now Paul Heyman has made it clear that he would love to see the leader of the Yes Movement cross paths with his client, Brock Lesnar...
Now that Daniel Bryan is able to wrestle again, the minds of fans everywhere are going into overdrive when it comes to dream opponents for the current General Manager of SmackDown Live.
Everyone in the wrestling business appears to be happy with Bryan's return and the likes of AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura have already said that they'd like to do battle with the leader of the Yes Movement. Now, Paul Heyman has made it clear he wants to see Bryan take on Brock Lesnar.
"I have wanted to see Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan even before Lesnar debuted on the main roster when Bryan was known as The American Dragon," Heyman revealed when asked about Bryan's return. "I loved his matches even in the early part of his career and found him to be one of the most compelling, riveting performers in the history of this industry."
As for his thoughts on Bryan being cleared Heyman had nothing but good things to say about that.
"Ecstatic. This is all Daniel Bryan has wanted since the moment he was told he was being forced to retire. And the emotional rollercoaster that he has been on since that moment has always been with the light at the end of the tunnel, thinking ‘somehow, someway a miracle will be bestowed upon me that I can be cleared and step back into the ring and do what I love to do more than anything else in this world.’ That’s all he wants to do. It’s what he dreams about, what he envisions, it’s what he wakes up wanting to do and thinks about when he’s going to sleep. So ever since that moment the doctors told him ‘sorry we’re going to have to advise if you retire’ the only dream Daniel Bryan has had, the fantasy in his life, is to be cleared and to exploit the opportunity of stepping back into the ring. And now he has that chance. So I’m ecstatic for Daniel Bryan. Very few people I know deserve to live out their dreams more than Daniel Bryan."
Whether or not Lesnar would be the best choice of opponent for Bryan is hard to say, especially as you have to imagine WWE is going to want him to take it easy in order to avoid any more head injuries. Lesnar is a safe worker, though, so seeing this match (which was originally going to take place at SummerSlam back in 2014 before he was injured) would definitely be exciting for wrestling fans.
