The Undertaker continues to do the rounds to discuss the apparent end of his wrestling career (as documented in Undertaker: The Last Ride on the WWE Network), and in a chat with Sports Illustrated, he talked about what former ECW boss Paul Heyman helped bring to the table with his career.
"Being a ‘Paul Heyman Guy,’ I’d heard that for years but never thought much about it," the Deadman pondered. "One day I realized, ‘Well shoot, I’m a Paul Heyman Guy.’"
He would go on to talk about teaming with Danny Spivey in WCW, a partnership managed by Teddy Long. However, once Spivey left the company, The Undertaker was paired with Heyman, and he recalled how travelling with Brock Lesnar's advocate proved to be massively beneficial to his career (especially as Heyman was good friends with Bruce Prichard and recommended he hire The Undertaker for WWE).
That led to Vince McMahon hiring him and, as Taker notes, "So hindsight being 20/20, I am one of the original ‘Paul Heyman Guys.’"
Paul Heyman has responded to that today, and you can see his take below:
