When Bray Wyat returned to WWE in 2022, there were immediate hints that he was eventually going to assemble a new Wyatt Family. With Triple H (mostly) in charge of creative at the time, a slow-burn approach was taken to the storyline.
Unfortunately, it then unravelled. While Alexa Bliss was clearly about to return to Wyatt's side, she fell pregnant and was pulled from television. As for Bray, ill health meant he missed WrestleMania and, last August, he tragically passed away following a heart attack.
Before he was taken off TV, Wyatt had been joined by a mysterious figure known as Uncle Howdy.
The stellar Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary confirmed Bo Dallas was beneath the mask and ended with a hint he could return. Since then, WWE has been dropping QR codes during shows which, when followed, set the stage for Howdy to make his mark on WWE.
Now, we have details on who is joining his new faction.
Former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan has reportedly signed a new deal with WWE and will be part of the group. However, according to PWInsider, so will Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacey.
Gacey is an NXT Superstar who previously led The Schism. He hasn't been seen for a while, though there's been chatter about a main roster move for several months. Dexter Lumus hasn't been seen on television since last May when he was involved with a mostly disappointing stalker angle involving The Miz and Johnny Gargano.
As for Nikki Cross, she's also been M.I.A. since last November. WWE tried a few gimmicks with the Scottish wrestler, and this feels like a step in the right direction for her.
While Bray was the creative driving force behind his characters, we'd imagine at least some of his ideas are being used for this currently unnamed faction. Dallas may have largely been used as a comedy character when Vince McMahon brought him to the main roster, but before that, he had a fantastic run as NXT Champion in the developmental brand.
In fact, Sami Zayn recently made a point of praising his old rival. "I've been giving this answer for years and it's kind of hard to say now because he's not really been on television, but I do believe he's still kind of under contract. I've always thought Bo Dallas was really, really, really, really good and never really got his chance to really spread his wings and fly."
Hopefully, this group will make its long-awaited debut soon.
