Baron Corbin lost to Jinder Mahal in a record six seconds on SmackDown Live this week and is now just the third man to fail in his attempt to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase (the other two being Damien Sandow and John Cena). As exciting a moment as it was, many fans have been left wondering why the rising star has been taken out of the WWE Championship picture.

Well, rumours are swirling that it has something to do with there being backstage heat on Corbin. It's unclear what's caused that but if you watched WWE Network documentary Breaking Ground, you'll know that he's not someone particularly interested in making friends and that his main goal is to be famous and make a lot of money in the process.

It's also thought that it could be a result of him attacking The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer on Twitter and the fact he later referred to a veteran as a "loser." That's something Meltzer later said did Corbin no favours, so it's also possible the company decided to punish him for the way he's handled himself on social media. Who knows but hopefully more details will be revealed soon.
