RAW: Akira Tozawa's New Ninja Gimmick Draws Accusations Of Racism

Former Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa debuted a new ninja gimmick at Backlash, and he returned on Raw last night in the same getup. This has drawn accusations of racism, but what do you think?

Well, Bruce Prichard has been running things for one week and Akira Tozawa is a damn ninja!

The former Cruiserweight Champion showed up during The Street Profits/Viking Raiders "match" at Backlash sporting a gi and leading a gang of ninjas. He pulled exaggerated faces and made silly hand gestures and other antiquated bullshit you'd be hard pressed to see in a Carry On movie 50 years ago.

Tozawa returned with his ninjas last night on Raw to face off against The Raiders and The Profits in a tag-team match, so it looks like his appearance at the PPV wasn't just a one off and we'll be seeing more of racist stereotype Towzawa moving forward.

This has, understandably, come in for quite a bit of backlash (no pun), but this may just be the beginning. There's probably a snake charmer gimmick waiting for Jinder Mahal when he returns from injury.
