Ric Flair Picks Current WWE Superstars He'd Promote As A Modern Day Incarnation Of The Four Horsemen
The Horsemen were one of the most influential and "over" factions throughout the '80s, and founding member Ric Flair has now selected four current WWE stars he'd assemble for a modern day version of the team.
A lot of wrestling factions have come and gone over the years, but The Four Horsemen (arguably) remains the most influential.
The group was formed in the early '80s and originally consisted of Ric Flair, Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Though the lineup changed over the years, Flair was always a fixture, and while appearing on Baltimore’s 98 Rock Morning Show with Justin, Scott and Spiegel, The Nature Boy was asked to select four current WWE Superstars to make up a modern-day incarnation of the team.
“The first guy I would take is Dolph Ziggler. The second guy would be Seth Rollins. The third guy would be, let me think, for Horsemen that requires a lot. You have to be good at what you do. You have to be able to enjoy life. Let me think. God I haven’t had too much fun with him, but I’m sure he’d be great Roman Reigns. Roman is a trooper. I got to be careful with what I say because God forbid anyone have any fun anymore. (laughs) Oh God, he would run from me but Randy Orton for sure. But he is so married now and so laid back and having a good time. Make no mistake Randy Orton right now is still the best wrestler in wrestling."
Wellll, some may argue with that last assessment, but this is still one heck of a stable.
We have seen similar factions over the years (Evolution, obviously, being the most comparable), but there's never really been a true Four Horsemen revival. How cool would it be if Flair returned in a managerial capacity to work with a brand new take on the team?
Probably wishful thinking, but let us know what you think in the comments, and give us your Four Horsemen picks while you're at it.
