On Friday night, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura were set to team up to do battle with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in Madison Square Garden but the match never started. That's because the two heels attacked the WrestleMania opponents from behind before it could begin and it's being reported that the WWE Champion may have been legitimately injured as a result of that attack.

As Styles sold a leg injury, the referee threw up the dreaded "X" sign and Styles was helped to the back. Nakamura then went on to defeat Owens in a singles match and Styles later came out with a chair to attack both him and Zayn. However, at another WWE Live event on Saturday night, it was announced that Styles was injured the night before and would no longer be appearing at the show.

The question now is,
has Styles been legitimately injured or is there more to this than meets the eye? (for example, it could all be storyline based) It's also possible that The Phenomenal One is just nursing some longstanding issues and has been given some time off to recover. With any luck, we'll find out for what's happening when SmackDown Live airs on USA this coming Tuesday.
