When Kurt Angle revealed on Monday night's episode of RAW that his final opponent will be Baron Corbin, fans in Chicago weren't pleased. Surprisingly, WWE went so far as to acknowledge that on air and it seems they were genuinely surprised by just how angry fans were about the news.

There's also been a sizeable amount of backlash on social media (including from those in the wrestling business) and a new report now claims that the match is being "reconsidered."

This makes a lot of sense as Corbin - and this match - won't have the good sort of heat at WrestleMania. Instead, fans are likely to spend the entire bout uninterested or chanting for John Cena and that's not exactly a fitting "farewell" for the Olympic Gold Medallist.

So, here's hoping things change on RAW, eh? And that John Cena picks up the phone!
