Since Samoa Joe debuted on the main roster, he's been plagued by injuries and fallen short on capturing the WWE and Universal Championships on a number of occasions. Now, it seems as if WWE is trying to give him some momentum heading into the Royal Rumble as before his match with Mustafa Ali could take place last night, he completely destroyed the former Cruiserweight competitor.

Whether this is the start of a rivalry between the two or just filler before the PPV takes place remains to be seen but these two could definitely deliver in the ring in a big way if they're given the chance.

We'll just have to wait and see how things play out but a match seems inevitable and it will hopefully take place as soon as next Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live. Stay tuned for further updates.
