Shaquille O'Neal Accuses WWE Of Messing Up His Scrapped WRESTLEMANIA Match With Big Show

Despite it being built up for nearly a year, Shaquille O'Neal's match with Big Show didn't wind up happening at this year's WrestleMania. Here's why, according to the former basketball player himself.

Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal was scheduled to face The Big Show at this year's WrestleMania in Orlando, but in the weeks leading up to the event, it quickly became apparent that it wasn't going to happen. At the time, it appeared as if O'Neal was to blame because WWE wouldn't pay him enough, but he's now shed some light on why it didn't take place.

"They kept playing," O'Neal explained on his podcast The Big Podcast with Shaq. "First, they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be three-on-three. Then, they cancelled it, so when they cancelled it, I made other arrangements." It doesn't sound like money was to blame then; instead, WWE clearly couldn't decide what they wanted to do here.

It's interesting to wonder who else would have been used in that six-man tag team match and Shaq went on to explain that when the company attempted to salvage the match, he rebuffed their efforts
as "They messed it up." This clearly won't be taking place at SummerSlam or next year's WrestleMania then, but is it that great of a loss. As always, be sure to share your thoughts below.
