In 2016, Shinsuke Nakamura made the leap from New Japan Pro Wrestling to WWE, signing a three-year deal to work for Vince McMahon's company. After starting in NXT, the King of Strong Style made the leap to the main roster and has since impressed on SmackDown Live feuding with the likes of Dolph Ziggler, AJ Styles, and Jeff Hardy. Welcome to the United States of Nak-America, indeed!

However, could Nakamura be about to make the leap from WWE back to NJPW? During a recent interview, he was asked about his contract status and chose his words in a very surprising way.

"That is a big decision," Nakamura said. "Florida's waves are better than Japan, it's just an hour drive to the beach but just once a week I'm able to go to the surfing. But in Japan, if there's a hurricane so I lived across from the beach, just a ten-minute walk. It's hard to choose." In other words, he's not giving anything away and will likely start negotiating with WWE very soon.

Chances are he will remain with the company but that likely depends on how well WWE uses him in the coming months as he may choose to walk away if WWE Creative isn't exactly up to scratch.
