The latest edition of SmackDown Live for September 18, 2018 took place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.

Here is a recap of the highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— MizTV kicks off the show with Maryse as The Miz's guest. After talking some trash about Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan, Maryse says this is her last appearance on SmackDown for the time being. When Bryan comes out to fight The Miz, he inadvertently dropkicks The Miz into Maryse. They ham up a possible injury in an attempt to lure Bryan into a trap, but he evades a Skull Crushing Finale and dodges a shot from The Miz, who ends up hitting Maryse by accident, instead.

— Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston defeated Cesaro by pinfall

— Rusev tells Aiden English that he blames him for their loss at Hell in a Cell. Afterward, English complains about Lana to a crew member, saying she's more of a wife than a manager. Lana overhears him and says she'll tell Rusev.

— Randy Orton lords over a member of the production team, threatening him to pull up the footage of his match against Jeff Hardy at Hell in a Cell. Orton says this pales in comparison to what he's going to do to his next victim.

— Rusev tells Lana that what she has to tell him can wait until later and asks English to do his usual announcement/song for his match. Shinsuke Nakamura retains the United States Championship over Rusev by pinfall after English causes a distraction by yelling "Rusev crush" on a microphone. After the match, English attacks Rusev, turning heel.

— AJ Styles defeated Andrade "Cien" Almas by pinfall and is immediately attacked by Samoa Joe afterward, but Styles fights him off until Joe retreats.

— Asuka defeated Billie Kay by submission.

— Becky Lynch has her coronotion for being the new SmackDown women's champion. Paige awards her the title and Lynch calls out Charlotte Flair. Flair tries to give her respect, but Lynch wants Flair to call her the queen and so forth. The two fight and Lynch ends up standing tall. Throughout this whole thing, the commentators repeatedly try to push the agenda that Becky is the heel, but the crowd firmly cheers for her.
