When Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson secured himself a spot on the TKO Holdings Group board (WWE's parent company), he wasted no time at all inserting himself into the main event of WrestleMania for a match with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

With that made semi-official on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago, upset fans took to social media to make it clear "#WeWantCody." The hashtag trended worldwide for days and the video featuring The Rock's return became the most disliked YouTube video in WWE history.

Johnson is believed to have been caught off guard by fans turning on him, and after a meeting with Triple H, it was decided to pivot back to Rhodes vs. Reigns II at WrestleMania. So, where does that leave the Brahma Bull?

Well, credit where it's due to Johnson because he's since embraced being a heel and at the WrestleMania Kickoff, allied himself with Reigns and seemingly joined The Bloodline after slapping Rhodes.

There are definitely holes to be picked in the storyline - why did Rhodes give up his spot in the first place and how did The Rock and Roman go from gearing up to fight each other to being best pals? - but the buzz surrounding this whole thing is undeniable. Clearly, we're in for quite the ride on this Road to WrestleMania!

Ahead of a scheduled appearance on SmackDown this Friday, Johnson has taken to Instagram to issue a warning to both Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins:

Hear the rumble
Hear the rumble
Run for dem life, when we step into the jungle

You f*cked around and found out quick, didn’t you boy?

You, your little friends and all your crybabies have no idea what’s coming.

The world’s on notice.

The prevailing theory right now is that we'll get The Rock & Reigns vs. Rhodes & Rollins during WrestleMania Night 1 and Rhodes vs. Reigns II on Night 2. There could be further twists and turns to come, of course, but we're guessing Johnson and his cousin will eventually square off in a singles match.

Stay tuned for updates as we have them!
