The WWE Cruiserweight Championship Has Been Given A Much-Needed Makeover

The Cruiserweight Championship has always looked a little cartoonish but a new photo shared on social media has revealed that it's been given a much-needed (but relatively minor) makeover. Check it out here.

The colour scheme of the Cruiserweight Classic was purple so none of us were too surprised when the championship belt featured that same design when it was revealed before the final match of the tournament. Unfortunately, it's given the title something of a cartoonish quality and with WWE hoping we'll all start taking the division more seriously, it's now received a makeover.

As you can see below, current champion Kalisto has shared an image of the title and the strap is now black as opposed to purple. It's a minor alteration but one which helps it in a big way.

Now, it looks more like an actual championship rather than a toy and while it will take more than this to make fans take the 205 Live Superstars seriously, it's definitely a step in the right direction. There's a chance this is just the title being used for house shows but we'll find out tonight for sure whether or not this is a permanent look for the title. Here's hoping it will be, though, don't you think?
