Fans have often made comparisons between Mandy Rose and Tiffany Stratton over the years. It's become clear the latter is the better athlete and WWE Superstar, though Rose's in-ring abilities did improve greatly during her final stint in NXT.
Rose was released by the company as a result of posts shared on OnlyFans which pushed the boundaries of WWE's "PG" rating.
Stratton became WWE Women's Champion last month after cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Nia Jax. She later cut a promo telling people to "put some respect" on her name, and while that phrase is by no means a pro wrestling creation, it was also used by Rose.
During a podcast appearance, she accused Stratton of "[using] my slogan" and added, "Listen, we can admire each other, we can respect, we can look up to, but we can’t take our words from each other."
Rose continued, "So congratulations to Tiffy, but don’t use my words, honey. We make that very clear, but that’s okay. I commend you, and I think you’re doing amazing, so I’ll put you over, but again, don’t use my words."
Stratton was asked about those remarks during a recent interview and said, "Honestly, I think it’s a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. I wish her the best, honestly."
In a separate interview, she was also quizzed about how it felt to receive such a rapturous response from fans after winning the WWE Women's Championship (a babyface turn feels inevitable at this point).
"Honestly, I don't even really remember it," Stratton admitted."I watch it back and they were going crazy. I was on autopilot and then it was 1,2,3 and the ref raised my hand and that's when it hit me. Coming back through the curtain, it was very emotional."
"Last year, I was sitting at home hoping to be in the Rumble as an NXT talent. Flash forward to a year later and I'm already the champion," she noted. "This week has been the first time I have reflected on that and it just feels so surreal."
