According to a new rumour that's doing the rounds today, WWE is considering repackaging Chad Gable with a new name. As you may recall, last week's SmackDown Live featured a promo with Shelton Benjamin talking about the King of the Ring tournament before the camera panned over to Gable who was dubbed "shorty" by his former tag team partner.

Apparently, WWE recently trademarked "Shorty G" and it's now believed that that's what Gable will be repackaged as.

It's said that the plan is to have Gable and Benjamin team up again and that they will receive a solid push. It's also been pitched to change Benjamin's name to Shelty B so they would be Shorty B and Shelty B which is, well, a little weird to say the least!

Still, seeing these two in action again on a regular basis would be no bad thing and we'll hopefully learn more about this soon.
