Kurt Angle is on his way into the WWE Hall of Fame, but before he returns home to the company where he made a name for himself, the Olympic Gold Medallist had one final match on the independent circuit last night. That came in the form of a contest with Cody Rhodes during a Northeast Wrestling event in Waterbury, CT, and things quickly took an awesome turn.
Now, you may or may not realise that Angle has a habit of hitting a moonsault from on top of a cage but missing, and during a rubber match with Rhodes after a series of bouts across the globe, the man formerly known as Stardust pulled off the exact same move...and missed!
Despite that, Rhodes would ultimately win the match, sending Angle back to WWE as the loser in this series of well-received encounters. It's a move that makes sense, though, especially as Cody will no doubt make a point of boasting about his victories in future Bullet Club promos and videos! Anyway, you can check out various videos of this amazing move down below.
