In a real "WTF?" piece of news, it's been revealed today that 205 Live is going to hold a series of live events across the Northeast next month. Here's when and where they'll all be taking place:
-
Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 – Kingston, RI – The Ryan Center
-
Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 – Lowell, MA – Lowell Auditorium
-
Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 – Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid Hudson Civic Center
Tickets go on sale this Friday but the question everyone seems to be asking is whether or not anyone will actually want to buy them! WWE's Cruiserweights get little to no reaction on RAW and unless a great dark match main event is announced, fans tend to flock from the building as soon as SmackDown Live finishes airing on a Tuesday evening. Apparently, though, this is an experiment on WWE's part.
A WWE survey was recently sent out asking fans why they don't watch 205 Live and responses included "watching cruiserweight matches on other WWE shows is enough for me," "not interested in a WWE Cruiserweight division," and "WWE 205 Live slips my mind/I forget to watch." If tickets sell for this tour, though, that's bound to give the company a greater level of confidence in this division.
